Ondansetron Hydrochloride is a medication that is used solely or in combination with other medications for preventing vomiting and nausea caused by surgery, radiation or chemotherapy. This medication is not intended to be utilized as a treatment for vomiting or nausea that is occurring already.

How it works?
This medication works by blocking serotonin, a natural substance present in the body that causes vomiting and nausea.

Dosage

The dosage of this medicine is based on one’s medical condition as well as response to therapy. With respect to children, the correct dosage is based on the weight and age. One should not adjust the dosage as per their suitability. For best results Ondansetron Hydrochloride should be taken as has been prescribed by the physician.

Who cannot take this medication?
